The History of the Solebury Spiders

The Solebury Spiders started about 10 years ago when the township of Solebury decided to put

together an elite team of players from ages from 8 to 13 in different teams according to the players

ages. Every year the town of Solebury has tryouts for a new team for each age group for 2 days.

The coaches evaulate speed, hitting ability, fielding ability, and pitching strength/accuracy. Then

the teams practice and play through spring. After that the spring tryouts are held once again for an

All - Star Team for ages 8 to 13. Age Groups apply. Then for all summer the Solebury Studs of all

ages, go around playing in tournaments and outscoring teams by more than 60 runs.
